Story
Hi
Thanks to everyone who was involved in the Relays 4 Research event, we have raised over $4000 towards GI cancer research.
As a medical oncologist, I've seen first-hand how clinical trials give people living with gastro-intestinal (GI) cancer hope. GI cancers include those of the oesophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bowel. Every 45 minutes, an Australian dies because of GI cancer and over 24,000 families are affected every year.
I'm challenging myself to trek over 83kms along the Larapinta trail to support my patients and to support innovation and leadership in GI cancer research. All funds raised will support the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group's (AGITG) Innovation Fund and find better ways to treat GI cancer. Please donate and together we can make GI cancer a disease of the past.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Thank you for your support!
